"Had this tablet less than 3 weeks, and work in construction. I was working on a 2 storey building and my Samsung Note 10.1 was secured behind a chimney. My co-worker removed a piece of material from behind the chimney and I turned around just as the tablet slid past, and dropped 2 storeys, popped out of the "protective case" and bounced into a shallow pond. I left it off for 3 weeks to dry, and it came back as good as new, with only minor cosmetic damage."

"The s pen is very useful especially for design and web browsing. TouchWiz is a great addition to the already great Android OS. The screen quality could be better, it's not up to par with other high end tablets, but nevertheless the performance is great, very responsive. Samsung is generally quick at updating the OS to the latest version. Speakers are nothing special, but what do you expect from such small speakers."

"The features on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 have changed the way I work and play! It was a gift, and is my first experience with a tablet. One of the presenters of this gift is highly skilled and a knowledgeable source of social media technology, therefore aptly determining my needs. Hence, a perfect match!!. The features are "windows to the world". The Galaxy Note design is most comfortable, whether considering it's ease in use or mobility. "I" feel my "pads" move across the screen with great ease. The value, well.... it's "apples vs. oranges". Does it meet my expectations? It exeeds my expectations! This is not the first opportunity I've had to sing it's praises, I refer and recommend it whole heartedly.
Thank you Samsung, you continue to be a presence in our life and home."

"The Samsung Galaxy Note II 10.1 tablet is a pleasure to use. A good variety of apps and a vivid, rich screen are the key features I purchased the tablet. I enjoy watching movies, and the fact that it decodes avi formatted files is very helpful. No need to convert to any proprietary format.
The tablets glass covered screen does not retain fingerprints and may be quickly cleaned with microfiber cloth. I also use commercial automobile window rain repellent spray every few months which helps to keep the screen smudge free.
I appreciate the automatic updating that Samsung provides, especially with the newest version of Google's Android operating system. This keeps the tablet current with all of the best features of this operating system."

"I picked up this tab 4 weeks ago and am still amazed! I cant believe the incredible video display, speed on web browsing and the durability! I have dropped it (ACCEDENTALLY) and it is still without a scratch. Every once in a while it has its laggy moments but I let them slide because overall the tablet is still outstanding. Oh yeah and the Battery Life is incredible too!"

"Switched from an Ipad2 to the galaxy note 10.1 due mainly for the S-pen. Using S-note for work has been fantastic as the ipad stylus was just not practical and very cumbersome. The s-note is just like writing on actual paper - I can also open a pdf, powerpoint, email, or another application and have 2 windows open simultaneously. I can then edit or tag my notes for easy searching later. Too many functions to write about but a few other favorites include voice to text, speakers, IR so i have all my tv, stereo, and AV controls (no need for a logitech anymore!), and the ability to use a memory card so I have 64gb of memory and i can switch 32gb whenever I want.. Build quality is very good, not as polished like the metal Ipad, but nothing to complain about."

If you’re into browsing online, drawing, handwriting, or reading then this tab is fab for you.
Besides all the other great feature's that Samsung has put into this product. I bought this because I wanted something primarily to take notes with and practice examples while studying. I was a bit skeptical about the S-Pen before making the purchase, but rest assured that it is better than writing/drawing on those common paper notebooks. Why is it better, simple... think about when you’re writing on a common notebook… you must notice shadows across your page from your hand and other objects, you must also notice those ripples across your pages caused by an eraser (and maybe sometimes holes :) ) when making changes to pencil scratches, and don’t forget about those gritty or flaky white products that do help to make cleaner corrections to pen than strikeouts. Also, you must notice yourself trying to find a comfortable place that is flat and solid enough to write on. Reading/reviewing your notes is again another chore. Well Samsung has surprising eliminated all of these issues with this Galaxy Note 10.1. While I’m reading my textbook on the computer I have my Note in front of my monitor to jot down notes. On occasion I take advantage of the multi-screen mode to look up definitions and get more information without having to switch the browser on my computer. Been using this for less than a month now and all my dreams for what this tablet was going to do for me were met and often exceeded. I can't forget to tell you that the size of this Note just right.
So if you like to do any of the things I’ve mentioned above then I’d encourage you to go online or check your local computer shops and treat yourself to this fabulous Note.
Don’t just dream about it somethin’ better, get somethin’ better with the Galaxy Note 10.1!

"This Tablet has far exceeded all of my expectations. It is easy to use, it can do anything and I must say, the front facing stereo speakers are an industry first. The one thing I am disappointed with out of the whole package is that Samsung did NOT include an NFC chip. Other than that, this unit is top notch. Good quality display, comfortable to hold, great sound that isn't muffled by your hand and processing power that never slows down."

"The fact that this has pen input makes this unique in the tablet landscape at this price point. I would have liked better build quality at this price though. The tablet creaks and groans when picking it up and does not feel very solid in-hand. Viewing angles are good on the display but there is brightness fall-off when viewing off-angle which isn't too big of a deal.
Performance is great, I don't notice any lag in Ice Cream Sandwich. Scrolling in Chrome and the built-in browser could be better though.
The note-taking ability, however, more than makes up for any shortcomings I found with this thing."

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"I was hoping for something I could use during presentations but cannot locate drivers needed for use connection to ok display via laptop; typing in searchbar and often jumps to new text, autospell chooses the wrong word, hard to move cursor to misspelled word, and, not Samsung's fault perhaps, but no flash makes too many sites unusable.
Ok, the pen/draw stuff. Poorly documented, hard to find the documentation that there is. Default browser has issues with forum replies as buttons get drawn, then disappear. They are still there, just redrawn.
Do not think it is a light notebook or laptop. Too much it cannot do, or is just terribly hard.
Sigh. So many hopes, so little achieved."
