"Initially, I found tablets to be unnecessary, simply because I have a laptop and a smartphone. I didn't figure I needed to be plugged in more than I already was. However, my family insisted I'd change my mind and got me a Tab for Christmas, seeing as I'm an Android fan. I'm happy to say, I've converted entirely. While I still use my laptop more, I transfer movies and shows onto my Tab to watch and it is SO much easier to cart around when I travel. No ridiculous wires all over the place. All the adapters fit into the carrying case I have. All in all, totally worth it."

"Having said that, I do wish I could download all the games I have on Facebook--Solitaire Blitz and Pyramid Solitaire for example. Then I could have them with me on trips. I have only had it since last Aug. and there are many features I haven't discovered yet. Is there a "how to" book available like the iPad seems to have all over the place?"

"Samsung tablet...I have this tablet and I can say after owing 4 other tablets, this is the only one that I use now. I love the sleek design of the tablet, the Android system is second to none on the market today. I can watch movies easily and it's quickness exceeds my expectations in a tablet. My wife used mine so much I had to buy her her own 10.1" S 2 Galaxy tablet. As a home owner of many Samsung products, we've never been disappointed by any of their products. Its a must have."

"We just got our new Galaxy Tab 2. We REALLY love it! It is affordable, light weight and does everything we wanted it to do and more. We're still playing around and finding neat things on it. We would highly recommend this product to anyone. We like the 10.1 display and this was one of the reasons that we purchase a tablet. We were using our ipod touch when we travelled, but being middle aged, (OK, a little more than middle aged LOL), we needed a larger screen that was easy to read. Samsung has exceeded our expectations yet again. Thanks Samsung!"

"I received this tablet for Christmas, my first tablet and I love it. I had asked for an eReader but the hubby felt a tablet made more sense as it does so much more. I thought I just wanted something to read on but it has become a great tool for many things including backing me up for my work-from-home jobs when my computer had 'issues'.
I had one concern in the beginning where a specific app kept freezing my tablet ... to the point where I could not do anything, even shut it off. I went online on my computer and found a youTube video that showed me how to restart the tablet with the volumn and power buttons. All is good now. In two months of daily use I have only had to restart it twice.
I am happy with my tablet and am looking into more Samsung products.

"I received this tablet when I switched my TV/phone/Internet provided. I've never had a tablet or a smart phone before and have been pleasantly surprised. I can surf, chat, read email, check the news and run various apps from any comfortable place where I have wireless access. I like to make travel slide shows and now I can play them in high definition by connecting the tablet to my TV with the adapter. No need to get a Blue Ray DVD player for high def."

"I got this tablet for Christmas and immediately replaced my former tablet. The colour and brightness beat out the competition and the speakers won't peak sound very easily, which I find very impressive. Video is especially superb with loading and quality. The tablet screen is completely customizable and makes it easy to move around apps and widgets whenever you like to whatever screen you like them on, also you can add more screens sections if you want. If the already 16gb of internal storage isn't enough, just pick up an SD card for more room.
Only con is the camera. Both front and back facing are of limited quality but I honestly never came across a situation with any tablet I've ever owned to need to take a picture with it. If you like the video calls it works fine, just make sure you have a lot of lighting. The tablet has a screenshot function on the display in the bottom left of the screen and I find that far more handy.
A fantastic tablet to have and I've used it almost daily for 7 weeks now, for writing and typing documents, using the internet, playing games and visiting social sites quickly and smoothly with no problems. 5 Stars!"

"Two months now with my Galaxy Tab 2 and I am glad that I chose it from among the many that are out there. I researched tablets until my head was spinning there are so many with so many features but my Tab 2 is the best of all. The size is one of the features that I liked best, it's not to difficult to learn the ins and outs of it. If I can do it, I'm in my seventies, anyone should be able to. I will no longer have to take my laptop or paper books with me when I go in the RV as this tablet will do everything that's needed while on the road. Wi-fi will keep me in touch with e-mail, it will store all the books that I want to read, with dropbox installed I can easily keep my fuel and others spreadsheets up to date and transfer them to my laptop when I get home. For anyone who wants to listen to music without the need for earphones there is no better choice, I didnot find any ather machine with anywhere near the sound quality that this machine has. As far as price goes it is quite acceptable. I had no trouble to pair it with my Galaxy S ll phone using bluetooth and I'm amazed at how well the GPS feature works, it seems to be better at finding signals that my GPS device. All in all I could not be happier with my choice and would recommend to everyone to consider the Galaxy Tab 2 if they are in the market for a tablet."

"I am a die-hard Samsung fan, owning everything from tv's to appliances, so it was a no-brainer for me to buy the Tab when it came out. I currently have the Tab 2 10.1 and I love it. It has a super fast processor and after the latest update, has fixed the only problem I had with it before. I find it to be very user friendly; even my 6 yr old has no problem navigating its many features. The best part? The crazy long battery life! I can leave it turned on, sitting on the coffee table for almost a week with minimal daily usage and it still has a lot of life remaining. With frequent use, it still holds up well. I bought it the day it came out and paid full price for it and even now, knowing the price has dropped, I don't feel like I got a bad deal. It was worth the price. I am definitely thinking about purchasing a second one for my growing family!"

"My first Samsung product was the Google Nexus S phone. I just loved the phone so when I was searching for a tablet I immediately looked for the Samsung brand.The two devices integrated easily. The apps transferred over easily from my phone to the Galaxy Tab2 without any problems. Well....there is just one problem... I love it so much that I am constantly using it and not getting much else done. I would strongly recommend the Samsung Tab 2 10.1 wifi to anyone."

"The Galaxy tablet is slick, fast, reliable, never crashes and totally fun. And really important - every website works on it (as opposed to the iPad.) I tried a lot of tablets before I settling on the Galaxy Tab because I wanted to get one that would stand the best chance of having a life of over 1 year. I've had my TAB for a couple years and am as happy with it now, as the day I bought it. I'm looking for a reason to get the new one but this one just won't quit. And Samsung's support is second to none!!! Any problem or question, just call them. Talk to a real person and get an immediate solution. Anyone want a free but useless iPad?"

"I got my Galaxy Tab 2 the latter part of 2012 and have used it a lot. Although I primarily use it for a couple of games, I also like the Smart Reel used with my Samsung LCD TV. I am still learning about the Galaxy Tab 2 and having fun in the process. It is lightweight, adjustable display, all Pros with it."

"After researching and viewing a lot of reviews and comparisons between the Galaxy Tab2 and the Ipad, I purchased the Galaxy for 7 year old son for Christmas. It performs wonderfully and has all the popular apps. What tipped the scale in favour of the Galaxy was the price and the fact that you have the option to had a memory card. We love the tablet and will probably be purchasing one for myself in the near future."

"Just a very tiny "Getting Started" paper. This is a fabulous device, crammed with wonderful features. Why then, did Samsung not prepare a manual to show people how to at least use the basic features? I found an actual manual for the old 10.1 on the Samsung site and that would help Tab 2 users a bit. If Samsung did not want to use a lot of paper they could just have built the manual into a "Help" icon on the tablet itself or printed a hyperlink in that tiny start-up guide."

"Currently own a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" for a couple of months now. Been very happy with it. I'm able to do so much more without the need to root the device compared to other tablets. It is worth the money because it's not that expensive and has a lot of cool features. It also has a very sleek look which I like. :D

"This tablet provides the user with a faster setup time for online interactions than most laptops or desktop computers. A large variety of user applications available. It is great from online shopping, banking, checking showtimes and much more. Very portable, yet the screen is a great size for ease of viewing. I purchased the otterbox defender case for it making it excellent for travel."

"Whether you are an experience tablet user, or this is your first time into the pond, the Tab 2 10.1 is packed with everything you need. Sound quality is terrific, the screen is both bright and vibrant, and it all fits into a size that satisfies regardless of your intended use.
The biggest downfall that i felt was the lack of HD recording, which is also linked to the fact that the front and rear cameras are both of significantly lower design quality than one would expect from such a renowned manufacturer.
Camera aside you will find the latest version of Android, which grants access to a plethora of aps, most of which are tailored to run on the device. I am a frequent ap user/browser and am yet to find an Android ap that is incompatible with the device.
Great job Samsung on a terrific product! I hope to see future iterations raise the bar."

Cons: Not high def, low quality camera

"Overall this Table is great. Tonnes of Apps and smooth operation. The remote is kind of cool too as all my electronics are Samsung and can be controlled using the Tablet."
