No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"In a 2+2 configuration the Samsung are visually good. My problem i have with these screens is the poor design on the IR sensor located on the right side of the screens making it impossible to control the screens on the left side with the remote control.
The other thing i dont like is the Magic Info software, its too slow to respond to commands and refresh info from the screens, so you dont know if it has done what you have told it until several minutes later. Not intuitive enough for an out-of-box experience.
Even though the Samsung's have plenty of inputs they do not auto select a source once a device is connected, very annoying since you have to use the remote control to select the source input and since you can only get control of 2 screens because of the poorly located IR sensor you are left with half an matrix image.
If you are in the same situation as me, then i cant recommend these screens. even in a 1+1 design you would still not be able to control the left screen due to the IR located on the side and obstructed by the right screen when put together."
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor location of ir sensor, no auto source selection when devices are connectd
