Toner cartridge should be more universal

"I do not need the printer to notify me that the the toner catridge has to be replaced and then automatically stop printing. I am smart enough to figure this out and if I want to continue printing that is my decision.
Also I want to install a compatible cartridge - MLT-D103L, and not rely on mother Samsung for replacing the toner cartridge. I realize that All printer manufacturers want the same .
How do I overide the controls on the toner cartridge.
When I buy a car I do not expect to use one source for my fuel. I demand the same with my printers.
Otherwise, the printer is great."

I would recommend this to a friend!
"I went shopping for a printer that was laser, could do copy & scan, had a document feeder, was wireless, and could do double sided. I also wanted one that wasn't too big or too pricey. Samsung was the only printer in the store that met everything on my list and the price was fantastic. I've had it now for a few months and have been extremely happy with it."
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, double sided, wireless

"- Better provisions in design can be made to accomodate printing from more than one data processing unit simultaneousely by assigning doc. number or name for a wait in print que management.
- A built in recovery program carrying the drivers and software that can be accessed by the processing unit via USB much in the same maner as accessing data on a memory stick, by which means printer, scanner drivers and software can be downloaded from the samsung unit instead of browsing the internet for Samsung.ca then support etc...."

Duplex printing works great

"I was looking for a printer that will do duplex printing and will operate through my network and it performed excellent in all aspects. I have owned and still do the SCX-4216F and have had many years of service. The printers are built very sturdy and solid. I compared it to an other manufactures of the same features and it does not have flimsy construction as other named companies. Very easy to set up on the network, also have setup the USB on my main computer, Easy to register. My 2nd printer from Samsung."

"the only real issue i encountered was that when i was printing using wireless it would stop working when i activated my corporate VPN. Fixed issue by hard wiring the printer using the ethernet cable. Can't say that its a printer problem or CISCO VPN nor do i have the time to investigate. It prints, scans and faxes. Thats all that matters.

"overall meets my expectations, the only thing i can not get it to work is scan resolution, the spec says up to 1200 dpi, but i can only do it at 600 dpi. Every thing else worked very well so far, set up is easy"

"I love the speed and flexibility of this printer. Samsung's software works faster and better than Apple's supporting scan software (print capture). I print mostly in the "Eco" mode. I'm not sure about the economy of printing ($95.00 + taxes) seems a lot for what I feel is less than 2000 feeds (~4.7¢ per page). I recommend this printer to all my friends."

"Now that everything is all set, I like it. Speed, print quality, nothing to say about that. The only complaint that I have is how difficult it has been for me to find simple information as user and password to acces configurations through the web interface. I am an IT professionnal and found it a little bit difficult to set everything up.
On the plus part, and honestly one of the main reason I bought this printer for, is the mobile applications for both iOS and Android since I have tablets from both worlds. That part is a breeze to install and use."

"Haven't had chance to use it yet as just got it. So far ...the setup Software wouldn't load byself but got around that, the set up completion took 15 minutes. Checked the box to register online but said page requested not available, so have to figure out how to register yet and then I'll try it all out and come back here and tell you how it ALL works."

Cons: cost of print cartridge is expensive!

The only place this printer is good for is maybe at home for printing homework, definitely does not have the capability to handle business.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"This printer is not always compatible and does not always work, You have to keep shutting it off and turn it back on to reset or completely unplug from tower in order to get it to function. This is the second one we have exchanged and it still has the same problems. The manual feed for envelopes is not well designed and can't handle more than one envelope, again not much use for business. The toner doesn't last long at all, by the time you buy a couple of toners you have pretty well bought a new printer."
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
