"I waited a while to get my first smartphone because I wanted it to do a lot. I'm a doodler, dabbler, and creator. I used to have ideas, sketches, and lists on little scraps of paper, napkins, etc. all over the place. My note catches it all and better yet I can find it later. The screen size and S pen are perfect to capture and share a moment's inspiration. I don't need a tablet, my phone can do it all. From a simple layout or design idea to detailed photos, or even the basics like shopping lists, reminders, or someone's favourite cookie recipe, it's all at my fingertips. Thank you, Samsung!"

"I saw someone with this phone last spring taking picture and wanted the phone right away. Excellent pictures easy to use searching, and email works great too. It's a tablet and a phone in 1~ I have my magazines - reading books - listening books - all easy to find apps on my home screen! The notes is amazing for reviewing later info you took during the day."

"I am diabetic and just had cataracts removed from both eyes. I had a Samsung phone before but it was to small for me to be able to read without reading glasses. Now with the Note, no more problems using the various apps & telephone. I love my Note!!"

"This is an amazing phone! The screen is a nice size, the graphics are great, and I use the stylus all the time. I don't mind that it isn't as small as the iphone that I had before. It can still fit in a jacket pocket, but I usually just keep it in my purse. It is a phone, a tablet and a computer!"

"My boyfriend got the iphone 4s the same time I got my Samsung Galaxy note, so we are always comparing apps and different features and functions of the phones, I have to say I"m loving my note. Wouldn't trade it for anything. I love the S-pen, screen captures are quick and easy.
The one thing I wish I could do with the Samsung Galaxy note (unless I just having figured it out yet) is to organize the photos, (to create my own folders or at least rename them, and be able to move or group them). Other then that LOVE IT."

"I love this 'phablet' a LOT.

"I have now owned the Galaxy Note for about 7 months and couldn't be happier... As for performance i can't complain. It is a dual core and with that said it out performs all other dual core devices on the market.. I have owned and tested a full gauntlet of devices over the years and this i have to say is tops and for many reasons..
First business, the size of the screen and therefore the screen keyboard are a delight and make typing in either portrait or landscape a breeze with little to no errors due to button size and so on. Battery life is good as well, I have to charge it nightly but that's a given with all smartphones now a days, and that's with pretty heavy use. I ha e my Bluetooth on all day, update calendar and emails all day and on lunch and breaks Im either watching a tv show on the nice beautiful screen or browsing the web... The S-Pen just adds a whole other dimension not available in other devices. The ability to get ideas across to others in a drawing or edit items for revision or for just quickly joten down a note or memo is a really nice feature..

As for entertainment. I use the device regularly to watch tv or movie when Im out and about. Browsing the web and in general everything you use the nice large screen for is just a pleasure. The screen is just vibrant and bright. Playing the odd game off angry birds or other such games is fun as well, having the bigger screen makes playing games and watching tv, a movie,or browsing the web really pleasant as your eyes don't have to strain as much if at all as they would on a device with a smaller screen...
The techie side of things. The LTE data speeds are great in my area witch isn't a LTE saturated area as as the cellar based services. The Cpu seems to handle multi tasking very very well with little to no lag compared to other devices I have tested. The display as I have said is simply "PERFECT". Wifi connection range and speed are great, I haven't had a device that gets the same range as the galaxy note does. Sound quality of both the speaker and phone speaker are great, both are nice and loud when needed and the sound cancellation works flawlessly. The devise is capable and works better when using a 64gb XCSD UH-1 micro sd card. I ha e used the sandick 64gb card for 3 months now and previously had a 32gb class 10 card and the 64gb is faster and in general better then the class 10...
All i can say is that the world would be happier if everyone had a galaxy note or for that matter the note 2..
There's way more little things to rave about, the little things you come to love and depend on from a device like this I could go on about, but I could go on for ever and time is limited..

"I love the camera, the user friendly icons and software. easy to use and figure out. Love the S-pen and the voice activation so when I decide I don't want to type my text message or email I just push the button and talk. Love the large display and sensative touch screen. Syncs seamlessly to my exchange work email, and calander, can have multiple email addresses linked to one inbox for an easy view of both work and personal emails, love the quick Swype typing:) all in all I love this product. can't wait to get the Note 2:) that will be my next purchase."

"When I first got this phone and people saw it - they were curious about the look and what I thought about it. I love it better than what I had before because it is like a mini-tablet for features. It was easy to learn the basics. The only flaw I found was when my area updated to LTE - the upgrades to the software and phone layout, so it took me a while to figure out. Now it downloads old emails based on the email icon, yet when you open up the email accounts, they dont download at all or show up. My carrier says it is not the phones fault but the android system and Samsung wanted me to reset the phone. When I first got the phone, I reset it and I lost everything. I am not sure about the backup features - it is not like the BB. But overall, I feel it is far superior to an iphone and suits my needs perfectly. The photos and videos it captures are incredible. I dont know if I paid a fair price for it but that isnt Samsungs problem - it is more that the carrier is suspicious. The speakers pick up alot of surrounding sounds - so sometimes people i talk to on the phone say the phone cuts out."

"I love the features, specially when texting in english, french and spanish you can switch the keyboard to different languages in one second. When it comes to photoshop is easy and logically useful. For the social network fast updated. I used skype on my phone and is like I am at home. There is no rating for this creature, because it even talks to you,; Ratings are for comparison and honestly nothing has evolved towards it. By the way, i am now a tech freak. Thank you Samsung"

"I have fallen in love with this phone over and over again, although it is not recommend to change the software on the phone unless you know what you are doing, and what risks you are taking. But if you do. Paranoid Android Jelly Bean, turns this phone into a Tablet Phone, giving you the best of both worlds, and truly allowing power users to be set free!. Today AUG 23, a new release has been put out, and it blows my mind away, there is so many features I have fallen in love with this phone all over again. The screen is Massive, the apps are amazing, the processor is mind blowing, the unofficial upgrade really unlocks this phone and makes is so much better then the iPhone. This phone is good for someone like me who has massive hands, and an insatiable thirst for being able to tweak my phone, and have fun with it. it does so much. just look and find out for yourself! This phone is a bit expensive. It costs more than an iPad, or an iPhone. But at the end of the day, you are using a very unique phone, and if you look at the sales, you can truly realize that you do get what you pay for with this phone. Yeah it may not be made out of glass and stainless steel, but if it did, it would be 3 pounds. Anyways, I love this phone, if you want check out the unofficial rom, but beware of the risks associated, however, you will love it even more then you already did."

"All the people who think it is too big, give your head a shake. Sure it might not be ideal if you speedos, can't tell. It fits perfect in my shirt pocket and if I use it during driving I use the blue tooth.
The battery life might be a concern, but for just talking it lasts easy the whole day. If you take full adventish of all or a lot of the extras you be better close to place where you can re-charge it, like in the car or in an office. The big and bright screen needs to be fed, if that is not your cup of coffee, better forget all the smart phones. Other smart phones might use less power, but the battery is usually smaller too. So I see not a big difference to my Galaxy Mini when it comes to accu live. The screen,the Stylus and the SD card slot moved me to the the Note instead of the Nexus. I just hope that that I get the Ice Cream soon or if, it can handle the the OS 5."

"Like the phone, but would like to have some sort of pouch I could slide my belt onto for carrying the phone when not in use. It is a little big to carry in a pocket. No phone store carries anything for the Samsung Note as yet. Is there somewhere to purchase a pouch on line?"

"I thought that the size would be a problem, but I actually enjoy the larger size. I was looking for something that would be a marriage between a tablet and a phone and this almost meets my expectations. I still find that a tablet has much better functionality and speed and ease of use, but this is still a great product and I would recommend it to anyone."

"I have yet to find anything about the Note that I don't consider to be excellent. This, for me, is an upgrade from the Galaxy S Vibrant which was already an amazing product. The Note takes it all to another level. (Eat your heart out iPhone!) I haven't figured it all out yet, but every day I find something new. Particularly happy about being able to open multiple windows at once! Love it, love it!"

"I had some issues with Samsung phones before. The plastic build, the "cheapness" of feel. When I decided to change from iPhone I decided to move toward Galaxy Nexus. But there were few issues, processor, camera to name a couple. The I had Note in my hands and was infatuation. This had to be my phone! I love resolution of the screen, the format and SPEED! I have LTE version so I can use all this network gives."

"I picked up the LTE version yesterday at best buy here in Newfoundland Canada. I can't rave enough about it, beautiful to hold and look at. The screen is beautiful with all colors that pop. Takes amazing photos and video and 3d and HD games look stunning. The size will only overwhelm you for the first few moments. After only barely a day with it, my 4inch Galaxy S Vibrant seems like a toy. To me its a no brainer for anyone not to get this phone..........Can't recommend it enough!"

"though i dont own the LTE version, I have the 3G version that was released in Asia. If you think Galaxy S2 was amazing.. this is beyond that.
the huge 5.3" screen, the long lasting batter with 2500mAh, and the S Pen are the features that made me switch from the S2.
As a heavy user, S2's batter will be all drained out around 6pm. Galaxy Note can last for another 4 hours without a problem!
Pick this phone... and trust me.. you will not regret it..."

"At first glance, the Samsung Galaxy Note looks like a huge phone, but after using it for a bit, it's actually not so bad. It fits in your pocket comfortably, and the large screen makes browsing or checking emails a breeze. It's actually the perfect phone for making notes due to the screen size and the introduction of the S-pen. I use it all the time to write memos or tap on the screen. Definitely recommend!"

"Once you get used to the little subtleties of answering the phone and silencing alarms when it's locked it's a very good phone with a whole host of apps some more useful than others. The main thing is this phone is hard on batteries as some apps start up as soon as you boot the phone up and others stay in the memory even after you've thought you ended them. These are the battery hogs once you shut these off, battery use will be close to specs. I love the note functions(using the pen) and the camera takes good pictures also. A bit overpriced (in Canada anyhow) but i wouldn't give it up."

"I loved my Note. I loved the size, features, functionality. It was fast, efficent, and fun all wrapped up into one! And I love the idea that android had with Ice Cream Sandwich; I liked the fact that it looked smoother sleeker and appeared to work better. That was the first hour with it... After about an hour and a half my phone lagged, programs began to need to be force closed, internet browsing which I found the best on any android yet, began to cut out and turn black on the pages I usually run. It is honestly safe to say that Ice Cream Sandwich has really affected the way I see my phone. Hopefully a patch gets released to fix the problems."

Stylus is useful and easy to use although button is poorly placed. Don't get flip cover. The edge starts to disintegrate after minimal use."

"Simply the best phone I have owned, purchased at Bell store in Kitchener, Ontario. I moved from iphone due to my contract coming up and its been a liberating experience. the whole system is soo open and customisable. The phones large screeen is the best part. I do most of my stuff on a smart phone and I was tired to constantly pinching and zooming, not any more!
The biggest and the only complain I have is that the battery drains very fast, I have to charge it twice a day to keep up. the screen consumes about 60 % of th battery and that is a shame because that is the best part of the phone. I have taken all the steps suggested by the phone to conserve battery power, but still I can literally see th ebattery level drop as I use the phone.
I would give 5 stars for performance if I had to charge the battery only once a day. The performance other than what is related to the battery is 5 star, the phone works like a Farrari compared to my old iphone 3gs, there is no lag and ever thing happens instatly, if only the battery lasted longer this would be a perfect phone, thanks. Jay"

"I have a smartphone that I use mostly to organize my time, reading/research, and messaging that is due for replacement. I was considering getting a tablet (reading/research) and a new phone (organizing/communicating)... and then I saw this phone.
It this looks like the perfect compromise. The large screen will make reading and typing easier while still being able to fit it into my pocket (albeit tightly)... but Android 2.3??? It makes one wonder why it's not coming out with Android 4 installed and if it will ever get it?"

"I ordered this product cos my company decided to pay for my phone. I loved it in the begining, especially being a big guy myself, i didn't mind its size.
We all know all great things about this product,

- writing in the s-memo with the stylus, it seems after the recent update, its tends to miss the flow of writing, also as you move from left to right, the depth of the font becomes lighter.
- The screen size, as amazing as it is, its only a itsy bit bigger than a s3.
- very very few times, but still has the capacity of hanging and getting frozen.
- there is no led's for notifications, if your away, you have to turn your screen on, unlock the phone and then see if you recieved anything while you were away.
- its bulky
- the power and volume button, are very misplaced and you tend to hit both of them even if you attempted to press 1.
- Running LTE, be ready to charge your batter EVERY day and sometimes again in the evening, if your planning on a late night outing."

"I am fairly happy with the Galaxy Note. I do have a cons that I am pretty unhappy about.
The apps at the bottom of the home screen cannot be moved. I can't stand the email app that comes with the phone. I like viewing all my email accounts in a combined view. The phone does allow this, but you have to selece combined every single time you open it up.
After the ICS update, the phone started having issues with GPS. It takes in excess of 2 minutes to locate the phone, and does not stay connected when using navagation. This is a major problem for me, seeing as I use the GPS on a weekly basis. On this fact alone, I would switch phones if my plan was up.
Another issue after the ICS update is the screens auto brightness feature keeps kicking in. I hate the auto brightness feature. I will un-check auto brightness, but it will automatically be clicked after about 10 minutes of phone use. That is very frustrating.
The phone has a lot of potential, but a lot of bugs that need fixing."

"Had phone less than a week accidental dropped it from less than 3 feet and screen scattered... have had lots of phones and dropped them before and was not expecting this at all.... now going to cost me to fix a brand new phone...."
